Daily tasks

Please note this is not a comprehensive list of tasks but is a prompt.

 

Morning:
 Make sure bread is out and cut
 Make sure butter is out
 Check there is bread out of the freezer for lunch/breakfast the following day
 Make sure the kitchen towels, cloths and tea towels go in the wash and put NEW ones out.
 Open the blinds in the sitting rooms and dining room
 Check fridge and freezer temps and record
 Check if we need meat out for the following days meal so it can defrost
 Check if we need ham out of the freezer for lunch/following day
 Make sure people are supported to have their medicine
 Let the Ducks out and make sure they have clean water and food.
 Isopropyl round the house
 Ensure Bathrooms are checked and cleaned(toilets/sinks) replenish loo paper/hand soap as
required.
 During the week can we ensure people are supported to be ready for work by 9.15/20
During the day
 Ensure household laundry is being washed, dried, folded and put away
 Isopropyl if not been done AM
 Ensure residents are supported to get lunch
 Ensure MG and JR are offered a snack between 4-4.30pm daily
 Ensure all food and household deliveries are put away including bagging the bread in plastic
bags to maintain freshness. (Freeze if we have enough bread out) (Please keep receipts)
 Make sure milk is dated and refrigerated.
 Ensure all kitchen surfaces are kept clean particularly after cooking, if your cooking for
yourselves please make sure you tidy up afterwards.
 Please ensure the dishwasher is on after meals and fill with salt/rinse aid as required.
 Take full bins out at the end of the day and reline with a bag.
 Restock main larder if needed from the summerhouse so we have a larder people can access
what they need. Add bits to shopping list if noted as absent.
 Ensure old food is binned/composted from the fridges.

Evening
 Make sure the Ducks are put away.
 Ensure someone is in the kitchen in the evening at all times
 Check bread is out for the following day.
 Put food from cupboards and fridges in the kitchen outside in the larder fridge.
 Help residents make packed lunches who need.
 Ensure MC gets a drink at 8.45pm
 Lock outside larder at 9.30pm and put the key away.
 Make sure people who need medicine receive it.
 Lock doors and turn on the alarms
