Our expectations of you
Mobile phones and laptops are used by all however we do ask that some discretion is had around the use of these when you are working or with people. It is not nice for those we support or anyone in particular to be having a conversation with someone who is not being attentive as they are on their phone or other devices.
Drugs:
We have a zero tolerance for any recreational drugs used onsite or when working. The procedure would be that if found or suspected the police would be called and it would become a legal matter.
In regards to medication in general all personal medication must be kept safe at all times and not left around the work place and under no circumstances is any medication to be given to any resident. Medication for residents can ONLY be given by those trained to do so and under the supervision of a Senior Co-worker.
Drinking:
The community does have social events when drinking occurs as one would in any home however we ask that this is done with due care and attention and that we are not excessive. Any drunkenness on the job will involve our disciplinary procedure to have to be followed. The well being of all has to be considered at all times.
Visitors:
We want all those visiting TAC to feel welcome but as we also provide care and support some due attention needs to be made about this. We ask that all friends who wish to come and see you are the sole responsibility of you as a friend and that a request of all those living at TAC is made before agreeing to their visit. Final decisions will lie with Senior Co-workers who will need to feel that the situation is ok for all.
